An industrial visit was organized by the GDMCMT College collaboration with IOCL, giving students valuable exposure to an under-construction oil and gas project of national importance. The facility features key infrastructure such as a pump station with HT motors, a 33 kV substation, and an HT DG set ensuring round-the-clock power supply, highlighting the systems involved in safe crude oil transportation. The visit aimed to help students understand large-scale hydrocarbon projects and the importance of crude oil, often called “black gold,” in the economy. Special thanks were extended to Director Dr. J.J. Mishra for his support and arrangements.
